Who is Ranger?

Hi, I’m Ranger, and I am currently walking across America from the Atlantic to the Pacific. You might wonder why I’m doing this? It all started in 2018 when I saw Mike Posner walked across the country- I thought it was amazing, and I thought it wasn’t possible for me. Then, in 2020, my grandpa passed from Alzheimers. I realized we could live our entire life, only to end up not remembering who we are at the end of it.

So I decided to put my stories to the side and take my first step.

Celebrating and Collaborating with Community Heroes Across the US.

These charities have profoundly impacted my life, and my walk is dedicated to supporting them. My goal is to raise $100,000 to support these non-profits

Future Farmers of America (FFA)

FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The funds collected during Ranger’s Walk Across America will be used to fund Supervised Agricultural Experience Grants that will fund the work-based learning experiences of FFA students across the United States. When we hit our fundraising goal, we will be able to fund 25 grants.

Bigger than the Trail

We come alongside individuals, providing educational support and treatment options. Please don’t think our mission is limited to just people who run. This is much bigger than that. Running is not the focus; but rather the people we can impact. Our focus is to bring light to the real struggles and challenges that are associated with mental health. When we hit our fundraising goal, we will be able to sponsor roughly 60 months of treatment for those struggling with mental health issues

The Hospice Promise Foundations

The Hospice Promise Foundation assists patients and families with essential, non-medical related expenses they are unable to afford themselves – such as rent and utility bills, emergency repairs, personal care items and food assistance. When we hit our fundraising goal, we will be able to help multiple families receive care, assistance, and support when they need it most.

My Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you Walking Across America?

The mission for my Walk Across America is to “Highlight, learn from, and work with people in the USA that are making a real impact in their community.”

I have been meeting with and learning from entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and community members that are doing great work around the country.

Do you accept donations?

Yes! In two ways.

As mentioned above, I am raising money for the National FFA Organization, Bigger than the Trail, and The Hospice Promise Foundation. These organizations mean the world to me, and I want to support them any way I can. If you’d like to donate please do so by going to my Facebook page or clicking HERE.

If you’d like to support me directly you can “Buy me a Coffee” HERE. These funds will be used for my day-to-day expenses such as food, shelter, and gear.

Do you ever take rides?

Yes- but let me explain.

I don’t take rides from “Point A to Point B”, what I do ask of some folks is to get some “shuttling.” Sometimes there are long stretches without many resources, hotels, campsites, etc. So what I will do is start at “Point A” in the morning, walk to “Point B”, get picked up at “Point B” in the evening, go somewhere safe for the night, then get dropped back off at Point B to continue on in the morning.

The only times I’ve “lost out on miles” have been due to road closures or “un-walkable” roads (ie I had to divert to a route where I met an interstate due to a wildfire).

What is the best way to support you on your journey?

The BEST way to help out is to just follow the journey. My intention is to post insights to what it’s truly like walking across the country and sharing some great messages along the way.

If you follow me, and see I’m in your neck of the woods, reach out! I’d love to meet you and see if there are any ways we can support each other.

What are you doing when you are done walking?

Move in with my fiancé and our cat (that I found on my walk!), work on my coaching business, go on adventures, and more.

I will also be running my Skool page, “Never Peak: The First Step” where I will be teaching everyone in the group the mindset methods and skills I used to Walk Across America. If you want to join, check it out HERE.
