My whole approach is borrowed from regenerative agriculture: tend to what matters, remove what doesn’t serve you, and trust the process.

The framework didn’t come from a business book. It came from the soil. While reading Gabe Brown’s Dirt to Soil, the story of how he brought a dying North Dakota ranch back to life, I kept seeing my clients on every page. The same principles that regenerate depleted land, tend what’s alive, stop the harm, build diversity, keep something growing year-round, work just as well on a depleted person, team, or business. Getting to know Ranger.
From the Sierra Valley to the San Mateo coast.
I grew up in Northern California’s Sierra Valley, where I developed a love for agriculture, community, and helping people grow. Leadership came early, through 4-H, FFA, and launching an anti-bullying campaign in high school.
At UC Davis I studied Managerial Economics and discovered a passion for personal development and finance. That led me to become a certified coach and eventually to start Within Range Coaching.
In 2024 I walked 2,642 miles across America, from South Carolina to Los Angeles, raising over $8,500 for charity and picking up a cat named Walker in Oklahoma. That journey taught me what I now share with clients: growth isn’t linear, but it’s always possible when you stay grounded and keep taking the next step.
Today I work as a business and agricultural consultant through the SBDC network, work alongside horses to coach entrepreneurs and professionals across the Peninsula, and host The Growth Point Podcast and the Spanish-language farmworker safety show Seguro en el Campo. I’m based in Half Moon Bay and serve clients in person across San Mateo County, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley, and virtually worldwide.
