Workshop One

Make Yourself Herd: Communication & Connection

Mon, July 20 · 10:00am to 1:30pm · Ember Ridge, Moss Beach · Capped at 8

A horse knows in four seconds when you’re not really listening. So does your team. They’ve just been too polite to say so.

In 3.5 hours you’ll learn to read the four communication styles, practice the kind of listening that makes people trust you, then take it to the horses, who reflect your pattern back with zero ego and zero judgment.

  • Read anyone’s style and adjust on the spot
  • A simple deep-listening practice you can use that day
  • Honest insight into how you come across under pressure
  • A printed workbook to keep going

Closed-toe shoes required. Coffee, snacks, and all equipment provided. Facilitated by Ranger Kielak and Joan Brennan.

Workshop Two

Leading Your Herd: Presence & Executive Authority

Mon, July 27 · 5:00 to 8:30pm · Ember Ridge, Moss Beach · Capped at 6

Your presence isn’t a personality trait. It’s physiology.

Your nervous system is contagious. When you’re steady, the room settles. Researchers call it co-regulation, and it’s the real mechanism behind the leaders people instinctively trust. In 3.5 hours you’ll learn to regulate your own state on purpose, then take it to the horses, who respond to what your body is broadcasting, not the version you’re performing. There’s no faking steadiness in front of a 1,200-pound animal.

  • A felt sense of what regulated leadership feels like from the inside
  • The ability to steady yourself before a high-stakes moment
  • Honest insight into what you broadcast under pressure
  • A printed workbook to keep going

Workshop Three

Taming Your Inner Critic

Mon, August 10 · 5:00 to 8:00pm · Ember Ridge, Moss Beach · Capped at 8

What if the voice that says you’re not ready isn’t the enemy, and you don’t have to silence it, just learn to work with it?

In 3 hours you’ll learn the 3 R’s, a simple framework for handling self-doubt: Recognize it, Respect what it’s trying to protect, and Redirect it into grounded action. Then you’ll practice with the horses, who read energy and intention and couldn’t care less about your job title. When doubt creeps in, it shows up in how you move, and the horse reflects it right back.

  • A practical framework for the next time self-doubt shows up
  • Real insight into your leadership patterns
  • A genuine nervous-system reset
  • A printed workbook to keep going

Workshop Four

Horsin’ Around: Play, Reset & Reconnect

Mon, August 31 · 4:00 to 7:30pm · Ember Ridge, Moss Beach · Capped at 6

Play isn’t frivolous, and it isn’t just for kids.

Researcher Stuart Brown found that adults who keep playing are more creative, more resilient, and better at solving problems, and that going without it is quietly corrosive. As the play scholar Brian Sutton-Smith put it, the opposite of play isn’t work, it’s depression. In about 3.5 hours you’ll step out of go-mode and into low-stakes, hands-on time with the horses, a little creativity (yes, possibly flowers in a mane), and permission to lead a little lighter.

  • A genuine reset
  • A lighter, more creative headspace
  • A reminder of what play actually does for your brain
  • A small group of people who showed up to exhale

Closed-toe shoes required. Dress in layers for outdoors and the barn. Facilitated by Ranger Kielak and Joan Brennan.
