Stop winging the conversations that decide your results.
The Better Communicator Accelerator is five weeks of focused training + private coaching so you finally know your style, read the person in front of you, and land feedback, hard talks, and high-stakes moments with intention—instead of hope.
Five weekly 1:1 sessions · $1,800 flat
Bad communication doesn’t feel expensive until the bill shows up.
You’re competent. The work gets done. But the conversations that decide outcomes—feedback that has to land, the person you can never quite reach, the hard talk you keep postponing—keep extracting a quiet tax.
- The good person who left because a hard conversation never happened, or landed wrong.
- The deal, project, or partnership that died in a room because nobody said the true thing clearly.
- The team that underperformed for months while everyone avoided the real issue.
- The relationship (professional or personal) that stayed stuck because you kept softening the message until it disappeared.
Most people treat communication like a personality trait they’re stuck with. It isn’t. It’s a skill. And the people who treat it like one stop paying that tax.
Part curriculum. Part private coaching. Built for real conversations—not theory.
A $20 book or a $200 course can teach you concepts. Neither can watch you try it and tell you what you actually did. Neither holds you accountable to having the conversation this week. That’s the entire premium of the Accelerator: the framework plus the 1:1 coaching wrapper and the accountability.
You learn a clear communication curriculum that gives the five weeks a spine. Then we put it to work immediately on what’s live for you—feedback, tension, influence, the person who keeps throwing you off. Between sessions you practice. On the calls we coach the real situations. No scripts. You keep your own voice. The framework gives you the options; the coaching helps you use them like yourself.
It’s grounded in Results Based Coaching through McLaren Coaching, so we’re always aiming at how you actually communicate under pressure—not communication in the abstract.
A clear spine, coached to your real situations.
Five focused areas over five weeks. The curriculum gives structure. The coaching keeps every session about the conversations that matter to you.
Your style assessment
You’ll complete a real communication-style assessment before session one so we start with a clear read on how you’re wired—not a warm-up.
Know your style
What your style gives you, what it quietly costs you, and how other people experience you when the stakes rise.
Read the other side
The other styles, how to spot them fast, and how to flex so you actually reach the person in front of you.
Listen deeper
The levels of listening most people never get past—and how real listening changes the entire conversation.
Purpose and outcome
Get clear on what you actually want from a conversation before you’re in it, so you stop wandering and start landing it.
Put it to work
We aim the full toolkit at your real situations: the feedback, the hard conversation, the person you keep clashing with.
The order flexes. If something is live in your week, we coach that first and fit the framework around it.
What changes when you stop winging it.
You’ll know your communication style and the blind spot that has been costing you. You’ll be able to read the person across from you faster and adjust without losing your own voice. You’ll walk into feedback and hard conversations with a clear purpose and a plan—instead of hoping it goes okay. And you’ll have practiced the skill on real situations, with coaching, so it sticks under pressure.
Everything you need to build the skill on purpose.
A real communication-style assessment
Not a fun quiz. A clear read on how you communicate so the work starts from something true about you.
Five weekly 1:1 sessions
Sixty minutes each. Private. Coached around your actual work, leadership, and relationships—not generic scenarios.
A communication workbook
The framework, the styles, the listening levels, and the purpose-and-outcome tools—yours to keep and reuse long after the five weeks.
Coaching and feedback on live situations
You bring real conversations. I help you apply the framework, notice what’s working, and adjust in a way that still sounds like you.
Email access between sessions
When a high-stakes conversation lands mid-week, you can reach out. You won’t be left to wing the big ones alone.
Honest accountability
Kind, but I won’t let you coast. You’ll practice this on real people—not just learn it on paper.
What’s your communication style?
Six quick questions. Answer them, then enter your email to unlock your style and a short note on how to work with it.

5. You put a conversation off most often because:
6. In a hard conversation, what you most want is to:
Answer all six to continue.
Unlock your style + one practical move
Enter your name and email. You’ll get your communication style, the blind spot that usually costs people like you the most, and one specific thing to try in your next hard conversation.
No spam. Just your result and the occasional useful note.
The Driver
Direct and decisive. Your strength: you’ll actually have the conversation. Your blind spot: going so hard you steamroll the person and miss what they were trying to say.
One move this week: Before the next hard talk, write one sentence that starts with “What I’m hearing is…” and force yourself to say it before you push for a decision.
Knowing your style is step one. The real skill is using it under pressure—when the conversation actually counts.

The Analytical
Precise and fair. Your strength: you come prepared and reasoned. Your blind spot: hiding in the facts and skipping the human part, so people feel unheard even when you’re right.
One move this week: In your next tough conversation, lead with how the other person is likely feeling before you present the data or the case.
Knowing your style is step one. The real skill is using it under pressure—when the conversation actually counts.
Want to turn this from insight into a reliable skill?
The Amiable
Warm and trusted. Your strength: people feel safe with you. Your blind spot: softening the message until it disappears, or avoiding the conversation entirely to keep the peace.
One move this week: Pick one conversation you’ve been avoiding. Write the single clearest sentence of what needs to be said, then say only that—no padding.
Knowing your style is step one. The real skill is using it under pressure—when the conversation actually counts.
Want to turn this from insight into a reliable skill?
The Expressive
Energetic and persuasive. Your strength: you can read and move a room. Your blind spot: talking past the point, or smoothing over the very thing that needed to be said.
One move this week: In your next important conversation, decide the one thing that must be said and say it early—before the energy or humor takes over.
Knowing your style is step one. The real skill is using it under pressure—when the conversation actually counts.

Who the Accelerator is built for.
- Managers, business owners, and professionals who lead or work closely with others.
- Anyone whose feedback, hard conversations, or day-to-day communication could be sharper.
- People who want to understand why they click with some people and clash with others.
- People who’d rather build the skill on purpose than keep winging the high-stakes moments.
One honest note: if you want a one-time workshop or a quick script for a single conversation, this isn’t that. The Accelerator is five weeks of building a skill you’ll use for the rest of your career. If you’re not willing to put in a little work between sessions, tell me on the call and we’ll find something that fits better.
What people say about working with Ranger.
His sessions are very structured, and he’s great at asking questions to figure out exactly what you’re struggling with. He’ll hold you accountable, but nicely.
Ranger’s coaching drastically improved the quality of communication in my relationship. Things are even better than I could have imagined.
I learned that leadership isn’t just about me. It’s about the people you’re leading and what you want for them.
He hears stuff you don’t even know you’re saying, then gives gentle suggestions that help you make sense of it all.
Five weeks. One clear investment.

Fair questions.
Is this a class or coaching?+
Both, in the useful way. The framework gives the five weeks a clear spine, but every session is private coaching built around your real situations. It’s structured, not rigid, and never a lecture you sit through.
Do I have to do work between sessions?+
A little—and it’s where most of the growth happens. Plan on twenty to thirty minutes with the workbook, plus paying closer attention to your own conversations that week.
What if I already know my communication style?+
Good. We’ll go past it. Knowing your style is the start. Reading other people, listening at a deeper level, and changing how you show up under pressure is the real work.
Is this therapy?+
No. It’s coaching and skill-building—forward-looking and practical, focused on how you communicate. If something deeper is going on, I’ll say so and help you find the right person.
Can we do it over video?+
Yes. Sessions run in person on the coast or by video, whichever fits your week. The work is the same either way.
How is this different from the 12-week intensive?+
The Accelerator is specifically about communication as a skill, with a curriculum behind it. The 12-week intensive is open coaching on whatever you most need to change. If communication is the lever you want to pull, start here.
Why not just read a book or take a cheap course?+
A book or course can give you concepts. Neither watches you try it and tells you what you actually did. Neither holds you to having the conversation this week. The entire value of the Accelerator is the 1:1 coaching wrapper and the accountability around real situations.
